POID, Parents of Intoxicated Drivers, brings rehabilitation and healing to SC felony DUI prisoners and their families through mentorship, counsel and prayer, grounded in Biblical Kingdom truths. POID was founded to bring awareness to the horrors of drunk driving in order to save lives, to minister to felony DUI offenders and their families, and to fight for SC felony DUI to be taken off the violent crimes list. They are not violent criminals because of an unintentional car accident.

Jesus, take the wheel. Steer us Lord through the storms of life. By His stripes we are healed. By His power we are made whole.

We take the key Lord and unlock the doors of our hearts and allow you to enter and come in to dwell within us.

Felony DUI Tragedy

For eight months after our son's felony DUI, I couldn't speak about this traumatic tragedy to anyone. The unbearable pain, sleepless nights, and despair caused me to cry out to God for help. I wanted to do something to prevent this horror from happening to others, so Brian and I wrote the song “MODD CRY” (Mothers of Drunk Drivers' Cry). My son, Brian, wrote the song "I Know I'm a Fool," which tells the story of that fateful night. MODD Anthem is a story to tell to the nations of a yearning for drunk driving to end. I wrote a poem called The Drunk Drivers' Heartfelt Plea.

The Day Our Son Brian Went To Prison

The Radical New Me: Radical Testimony & Unspeakable Pain & Grief

I wrote this song, M.O.D.D. CRY, Mothers of Drunk Drivers' Cry, to raise awareness of the horrors of drunk driving in order to save lives.

This song "I Know I'm a Fool", written by Brian Jarrell, is a true story of a drunk driver's heartfelt plea. It carries a powerful message that is intended to save lives in the future through his cautionary tale of a tragic event and the unimaginable pain and suffering he caused so many people. By replaying the nightmare over that he woke up to, from what was in his head that he can't remember happening, he refuses to believe it could possibly be true. He wonders out loud while talking to God how this could have happened!

The price the victim and family along with what he had to pay for the devastation that followed and the consequences of his actions, that he has no memory of causes him to have to come to terms on how to live with himself. He shares his emotional roller coaster ride of his true feelings speaking to the innocent man who lost his life and to God trying to explain his grief and remorse plus asking both of them for forgiveness in this captivating story

This video was made to raise awareness about the impact drunk driving fatalities have on the entire community and the devastation from these tragedies. Drunk Driving accidents are accidents that unintentionally claim the lives of innocent people without the driver ever having any intent to hurt a soul, but the end result is someone losing their life that shouldn't have. All because someone was driving a car who shouldn't have been driving because they were over the legal limit. They didn't know it or they were too drunk to remember even driving, and didn't even know or realize what they were doing because they were mentally incapacitated. In the process they destroyed the lives of everyone connected to the ones who lost their lives, as well as everyone connected to the one who was driving drunk.

It can happen to anyone- your friends, your families, your loved ones, and even you. The pain and suffering endured by the lives of the families and friends and loved ones of both the victim and the drunk driver is unbearable and a burden everyone has to live with for the rest of their lives. "I Know I'm a Fool" shares a very compelling inspirational message that is both heartbreaking and thought provoking. It is intended to help save lives and hopefully one day prevents this horror from ever happening to anyone ever again! What would you do if it happened to you? Anyone it has happened to or who knows someone it has happened to promises you that you don't ever want to find out. Please make a difference by sharing this video and spreading this message to save lives.

I wrote M.O.D.D. Anthem to tell the story to the nations of my yearning to end drunk driving.

We are advocates of DADSS (Driver Alcohol Detection Systems for Safety). High-tech breath and touch sensors calculate the BAC level in half a second with no inconvenience to the sober driver. If above .08 BAC, the car won't start. DADSS has been federally legislated to be put in all new cars beginning in 2026.

A Drunk Driver’s Heartfelt Plea by Donna Jarrell

I have to endure all the public shame

My life will never be the same

Over and over, sleepless nights appear

For the rest of my life, I will have to bear

The grief, depression, hopelessness, and fear

That is all that resonates in my ear

It was unintentional, I wouldn’t hurt a flea

As I fall to my knees with a heartfelt plea

Oh God forgive me, That wasn't the real me

It was the influence of the alcohol you see

That's not who I am, nor want to be

Alcohol made a fool out of me

Oh victim and family forgive me I plead

For this I cry is my greatest need

I've been sober ever since

I want to make my recompense

Is this how my story ends?

I guess it all really depends

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth

Revenge and hate, Is that your truth?

Don’t we all want mercy and grace?

When we find ourselves in such a dark place

Aren't we all a part of the human race?

What would you want if this was your case?

Two lives lost, One in death, One behind bars

This is crazy, This is so bizarre!

To lose precious lives shouldn’t have gone this far!

Federally legislate Driver Alcohol Detection Systems (DADSS)in all new cars!

Then we won’t have Felony DUI offenders behind bars!

The car is the cure.

And will not start for sure!

So you will have to wait

Until BAC is below .08

Drunk driving will now be a thing of the past

Drunk driving gone at last!
